3000gt/Stealth/GTO DR44G Alternator mounting kit
Made to work with GM DR44 style alternators. This kit deletes the oem AC, AC bracket, Oem alternator, alternator bracket, and tensioner. A weight savings of around 12 lbs. These higher amperage alternators are readily available in 160-320 amp versions. With so many amps at your disposal, you can run an electric AC and power steering pump which reduces mechanical parasitic draw on the motor.

Connector Kit:
A connector to plug into the OEM alternator harness so no cutting of the body harness is necessary
A 4 pin connector with built in resistor to plug into the Dr44g alternator
Belt Kit:
The correctly sized 6 Rib 33” belt
The two larger screws secure the alternator to both the bracket and the tensioner
The two shorter screws connect the alternator bracket to the engine mount
The longer, smaller diameter screw connects through the other side of the tensioner using the gold spacer and replaces a bolt that secures the oil pump to the motor.
You are responsible for your own wiring. The OEM charging system is rated for 110 amps. We Strongly recommend upgrading the wiring between the alternator and battery and the correctly sized grounds to suit the power output of the new alternator. We also recommend adding a circuit breaker between the battery and alternator as well.
